This year, in place of our traditional Anniversary Gala, we’re proud to introduce the very first Legends Luncheon— a heartfelt celebration honoring four extraordinary individuals: Dr. Art De Simone, Dr. Howard Lipton, Michelle Kaye, and Dale DeAngelis Mottola, whose vision and dedication helped bring BVMI to life. Their legacy not only shaped our past but is now guiding us into a new chapter, as BVMI expands healthcare access across the county.
Dr. Lipton has been an essential part of BVMI’s mission, offering skilled, empathetic care while mentoring volunteer providers and advancing medical excellence throughout the organization.
As BVMI’s first official employee and longtime Medical Director, Dr. De Simone has guided our clinical vision with extraordinary leadership and compassion. His dedication has shaped the care we deliver to thousands in need.
Dale served as Administrative Director until 2024, playing a key role in shaping the organization’s growth and culture. Her leadership of the Garfield Project continues to expand access to care and deepen BVMI’s community impact.
Michelle’s leadership in nursing and clinical operations has ensured BVMI patients receive the highest quality care. Her impact is seen in every aspect of our patient-centered services.
