BVMI relies on a team of office volunteers to keep the office running!
Volunteers are the heart of our organization. We provide a friendly, flexible workplace where what you do really makes a difference!
"Both clinical and nonclinical volunteers all work together in order to ensure the best care possible is delivered to our patients."
We are currently seeking volunteers for the following positions:
BVMI utilizes an electronic medical record system, but many reports are still in paper form. We need scanners to scan the written reports into medical records. This crucial job is a great opportunity for someone looking to learn about medical reporting.
BVMI patients come from many backgrounds and cultures. Often, they are more comfortable speaking in their first language, and have a better understanding of what is being said. We need bilingual volunteers to interpret – we especially need bilingual English/Spanish and English/Korean, with occasional need for other languages. Our interpreters go into exam rooms ensuring doctor/patient communication is accurate.
In order for our office to run smoothly, we need help calling our patients to schedule and remind them about appointments. This is a great opportunity for someone who speaks Spanish or Korean
