The Mental Health Program provides access to free, culturally-sensitive mental health care for an especially vulnerable population of working, low-income residents of Bergen County. Many BVMI patients have survived trauma and abuse, and all struggle daily with poverty. Patients are screened annually for anxiety and depression and are referred to one of our volunteer or staff mental health professionals when needed. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Anxiety and depression are common in BVMI patients. All struggle daily with the challenges of living in poverty, and many have suffered trauma and abuse.
